Ambassador Andrew Noble has gladly received this beautiful gift from Irina Georgescu, author of ‘Carpathia: Food from the heart of Romania’, who has been so impressed with the ambassador’s recent tutorial on cooking the traditional Romanian dish ‘sarmale’ (stuffed cabbage leaves) that she has decided to share with him the wisdom of her wonderful book. ‘Very many thanks indeed and what a beautiful (as well as tasty!) book it is. I share your objective of promoting UK-Romanian links and Romanian culture and would love to have even a small role in promoting this tremendous book’, Andrew Noble wrote in a thank you letter to Ms Georgescu.
